Sulphur girls win state 3A basketball championship

Oklahoma City — Things ended up just perfect for the top-ranked Sulphur Lady Bulldogs.

Sulphur limited No. 2 Perkins-Tryon to just nine first-half points and went on to defeat the Demons 42-34 to capture the Class 3A State Championship Saturday afternoon inside the State Fair Arena here.

Coach Toby Todd’s team finished its magical season with a perfect 30-0 record while Perkins-Tryon saw a season-long 28-game win streak come to an end.
