Polling places for Tuesday's election

Here is a list of polling places for today’s Ada City Council election:

620022 St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1300 E. Beverly

620025 The River Church, 1930 Arlington

620031 Irving Center, 704 N. Oak

620052 Pontotoc County Agri-Plex, 1700 N. Broadway Ave., Building 1

620053 Wintersmith Lodge, east wing, 1621 Wintersmith Drive.

620055 Fitzhugh Methodist Church, 21955 CR 3499 Road in Fitzhugh

620060 Byng Town Hall, 110 Byng Blvd.

Voters will decide three city council races today. The race for the at-large seat pits Mayor Greg McCortney against Ada businessman Don Rice, and Councilman Darrell Nemecek will face newcomer Bill Rice for the right to represent Ward 3.

Ada attorney Bryan Morris is competing against Daniel Mull, a systems administrator for the Chickasaw Nation, in the race for the Ward 1 seat.

Today’s winners will capture the open seats on the council as there will not be a general election in April.

Eligible voters may cast ballots in all races. The polls will open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.
