Trusty captured after walking away from work detail

Ada —

Pontotoc County inmate Donald Eugene Thurman, 46, Ada, who had a date already pending with Oklahoma Department of Corrections, could be looking at increased time in prison after walking away from a work detail as a trusty Tuesday afternoon at the Pontotoc County Agri-plex.

Before noon Wednesday, Thurman had been captured, according to Pontotoc County Sheriff John G. Christian.

 As a nonviolent criminal, Thurman was allowed trusty status and had been loading pipe at the site when he walked away about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
