Paula Gene Bessire and Christopher Roy Vandeveer of Ada exchanged wedding vows April 28, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ada. The Rev. Rusty Hewes officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Stephanie Bessire of Ada. She is the granddaughter of Rolland and Joyce Debower of Columbus, Nebraska.
Parents of the bridegroom are Kim Vandeveer and Scott and Judy Vandeveer, all of Ada. He is the grandson of Roy and June Beaver, Ada; Charlie Vandeveer and Naomi Vandeveer.
Matron of honor was Bethany Walling, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Brittney Monroe, niece of the bride; Krischelle Blackwell and Tori Watson.
Best man was Tyler Vandeveer, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Dave Smith, Brad Heimer and Vince Giambaresi.
Ushers were Nicholas Bessire, brother of the bride, and Tristan Monroe, nephew of the bride.
The flower girl was Flossie Walling, niece of the bride.
A reception was held following the ceremony at the church hall.
Wedding attendants were Callie Monroe, sister of the bride, and Britni Rae.
Following a honeymoon trip to Branson, Missouri, the couple makes their home in Ada.
