NORMAN —
Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops took a very diplomatic approach when asked Baylor's defense this week.
The Bears are last in the FBS in total defense (527.3 yards per game) and 114th out of 120 schools in scoring defense (39.13 points per game).
Stoops only mentioned Baylor's defensive effort in its 41-14 victory over Kansas, which 116th in the country in scoring offense, last Saturday.
"They played really well this past week against Kansas, " Stoops said. "I think they gave up 14 points. A few people have scored some points on them, but they've done a good job. "
The win over the Jayhawks broke a four-game losing streak for the Bears. During the streak, they allowed an average of 52.5 points per game.
