Tishomingo —
Murray State College is proud to announce the signing of a new athlete into the strong Aggies sports programs.
Kelsey Greenwood of Stratford has signed to play with the Lady Aggies softball team for the 2012-2013 school year. Greenwood will graduate from Stratford High School this spring, and will join the Lady Aggies in the fall as a right-handed pitcher. She says she is ready to become a Lady Aggie.
“I am very excited to be playing college softball at Murray State College. This is a dream come true,” she said.
Greenwood played for the past four at Stratford under the coaching of Tony Prichard. In her time as a Bulldog, she was chosen as the top defensive player every year.
“We are glad Kelsey has decided to join our softball program,” says Murray State College softball coach Mark Hamilton. “We look forward to her being a part of the Lady Aggie tradition.”
Kelsey Greenwood is the daughter of Jeff and Summer Greenwood of Byars. Her grandparents are Joyce and Ronnie Greenwood of Byars, and Mickey Elliott of Ada.
At MSC, Greenwood plans to pursue an Associate of Applied Arts in the Physical Therapist Assistant program.
