Woodward Boomers making long road trip to Norris Field

Ada — The Ada Cougars' mission to win a Class 4A District championship has now been accomplished. Now it's on to bigger and better things.

The fourth-ranked Cougars will have at least one eye on a 20th state championship when they open their 2012 playoff schedule in the form of a first-round date with Woodward Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at Norris Field.

Ada will face a Woodward team that enters the playoffs with a 4-6 record and finished fourth in District 4A-1 behind Anadarko, Clinton and Weatherford.

While the Cougars — who have yet to taste defeat this season — will be heavy favorites on paper, Weber said his team won't take anything for granted in the playoffs.
