Male Chorale to perform at Ada First Baptist

ADA — California Baptist University’s 90 plus member Male Chorale will perform Thursday, May 17 at Ada First Baptist Church (AFB). Bart Morrison, AFB minister of music, said this group of young men will inspire young and old alike with their fresh, new arrangements.

The concert starts at 7 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

Jesus, the Lamb of God theme for sermon at Roff

ROFF — The Roff Pentecostal Holiness Church located at 601 E. Main in Roff where Jehovah is God, Jesus is the Christ, and the Holy Ghost is the Spirit of God at work in the lives of His people.  The thought for the morning message will be “Jesus, the Lamb of God” taken from the Books of Genesis [22:1-8] and John [1:29,36].  Praise the Christ!

Hope Closet opens Saturday for free children's clothing

ADA — Abba's House Worship Center, 622 N. Townsend, opens its Hope Closet from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday, May 5. Hope Closet is a family service providing free children's clothing and essentials. To benefit from the service, parents must have their children with them when picking up clothing.

 

Ada church concludes spring attendance campaign Sunday

ADA — Ada Baptist Temple finishes its Spring Attendance Campaign Sunday. Theme of the campaign is “Launch Out.” The theme verse is Matthew 4:19 - “follow me and I will make you fishers of men.”

The church is divided into two teams — the men are led by Bronson “the Noodler” Roppel and the ladies are led by Keysha “the Big Mouth Bass” Hogue. The ladies are leading in the campaign. In three weeks ABT has had 44 first time adult visitors.

The final Sunday of their “Launch Out” Campaign is open to the public.
