Ewell Lee Lance

Funeral services for Ewell Lee Lance, 79, Ada are 10 a.m. Saturday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Chaplain Jeremy Parham officiating.

Mr. Lance died Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at an Oklahoma City hospice. He was born Feb. 17, 1933. in Pontotoc to James Andrew Lance and Maggie Ethel Spurlock Lance.

He attended Asher schools and graduated from Asher High School.

He married Reba Deloris Little. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Lance worked in the maintenance department for Oklahoma Natural Gas Company until his retirement. Later, he was a truck driver. Mr. Lance served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James David and Judy Lance, Cimarron, N.M.; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Leigh and Donnie Taylor, Stratford; four grandchildren, Mary Taylor and Michael Taylor and Jennifer Caballero and Kim Peery; three great-grandchildren, Patrick Edwards and Dillon Edwards, and Mya Caballero; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Evelyn and Travis Vought, Oklahoma City, and Marion Mounger, Oklahoma City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Michael Wayne Lance; and a brother, Charles Wayne Lance.
