Irma Roan

IDABEL —  

   Graveside services for Irma Roan, 95, formerly of Idabel,  are 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Denison Cemetery.

She died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Springfield, Mo. She was born Nov. 2, 1917 in Idabel to Claud and Maud Folsom.

She married Troy M. Roan on Dec. 24, 1940. He died Feb. 13, 2000.

Mrs. Roan was raised in Idabel and was a member of First Baptist Church for more than 40 years. More recently, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Dallas for more than 20 years. She was also an active member of the Order of Eastern Star and formerly served as president of the chapter in Idabel. She retired from the Department of Human Services in 1983 after 30 years of service.

Survivors include a son, Dale Roan, Richardson, Texas; two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Flowers, Dallas, Texas, and Jackie and Ted Savage, Ada; grandchildren, Catherine Guiant and husband, Pat, Jennifer Butcher, Tommy Flowers and wife, Denise, Sean Flowers and wife, Andrea, Kristi Myers and husband, Steven, and Courtney Morehead; great-grandchildren, Erika Johnston, Taylor Flowers and Laura Flowers, Addie Flowers and Trevor Flowers, Greenlee Myers and Savanna Myers and Hanna Gallemore; and other relatives and friends.
