Services for Linda Ann Roberts Powers, 69, Ada, are 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, with the Rev. John D. Norvell officiating.

Mrs. Powers died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at her home. She was born July 30, 1943, to Harry Keith and Eva Joyce Land Roberts at Houston, Texas.

She came to the Ada area in 1958-1959 from Ardmore. She attended school in Plainview and graduated from Ada High School. She attended East Central University. Mrs. Powers retired from Linscheid Library at East Central University and was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.

She and James Robert Powers were married May 27, 1962, at Ada. He died Dec. 5, 2006, at Ada.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Keith Washburn, Shawnee; her son, James Robert Powers Jr., Oklahoma City; two granddaughters, Amanda Motley and husband, Tyler, Shawnee, and Jamie Kiest, Shawnee; one great-grandson, Tripp Motley, Shawnee; two brothers, Bill Roberts and wife Sharon, Springfield, Mo., and Keith Roberts and wife, Sue, Arvada, Colo.; one brother-in-law, Rex Powers and wife, Earline, Seminole; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family says those who wish may make donations to The American Lung Association, 3160 W. Britton Road, Suite E, Oklahoma City, OK 73120.
