Phyliss Ilene Keel Davis

Memorial Services for  Phyliss Ilene Keel Davis, 60, Ada, are Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 10 a.m. in Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Tishomingo.  A private family burial is scheduled to be held at a later date.

Ms. Davis died April 27, 2012, at an Ardmore hospital. She was  born Dec. 30, 1951, at Talihina to Freeman and Hilda Keel of Tishomingo. 

She attended Tishomingo public schools and graduated from Murray State College with a nursing degree.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, J.B. Keel, Ravia, and Jerry Keel, Tishomingo; a sister, Hattie Chasteen, Ardmore; her husband, Bobby Davis, Tishomingo; her son, Tracy Taliaferro, Lawton; two nieces, Danette Goble and Sandra McGehee; and two nephews, Bobby Keel, Ada, and Zachary Keel, Choctaw.

She is survived by two daughters, Kimi Chambers and husband Dr. Larry Chambers of Lawton, with grandchildren, J. R. and Alex Loera, and Keela Davis and husband John of Oklahoma City, with grandchildren, Lynce and Amelia;  five brothers, Don Keel of Tishomingo, Jefferson Keel of Ada, Tommy Keel of Tishomingo, Dale Keel of Albuquerque, N.M., and Danny Keel of Baycliff, Texas; two sisters, Kathy Bethune of Ada and Virginia Sherwood of Madill; and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a meal after the service at the Chickasaw Nation Community Center in Tishomingo. The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society of the Ada Battered Women’s Shelter.
