Dorothy G. Emmons

     Services for Dorothy G. Emmons, 89, Norman, formerly of Ada, are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Toby Willoughby officiating. Burial follows at Maxwell Cemetery.

     Ms. Emmons died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at her home. She was born April 25, 1923, to William A. “Bill” Berry and Rhoda Barnett at Maxwell.

     She attended Maxwell School and graduated from Vanoss High School. She attended business school and was retired from the Veteran’s Center at Norman after 23 years of service.

     Survivors include two granddaughters, Chelsa Songer, whom she reared, Norman, and Erin Busch, Omaha, Neb.; and two sisters, Virginia Beebe,  Ada, and Ollie Gurley, Pawhuska.

     She was preceded in death by a son, Carl Emmons Jr.; a daughter, Patricia Ann “Pat” Norton; a sister, Winnie Stover; and three brothers, Harley Berry, Buddy Berry and Billy Berry.
