Perch Thomas

Funeral services for Leo Belle “Perch” Thomas, 75, Stonewall, are at 2 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013,  at the Chickasaw Nation Community Center in Ada. Officiating is the Rev. Osborne Roberts. Burial follows at Thomas Family Cemetery southest of Stonewall. Wake service is 7-8 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home in Ada.  

Ms. Thomas died Monday, March 11, 2013, at an Ada hospital.  She was born Dec. 21, 1937, in Marietta Milburn Buck Thomas and Bellzora Allen Thomas.  

Ms. Thomas graduated from Sequoyah High School in Tahlequah.  She was a lifelong resident of the Stonewall area, a homemaker, and was associated with the Yellow Springs Methodist Church.

Survivors include four sons and a daughter-in-law, Tony and Nancy Lewis, Tuttle, Robert Lewis, Ada,  Phillip Lewis, Stonewall, and Mitchell Lewis, Shawnee; two daughters and a son-in-law, Melissa and Lloyd Kilcrease, Ada, and Rolanda Casey, Stonewall; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Judy Thomas, Stonewall; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Willa Thomas, Stonewall, and Betty and Barney Barnoski, Stonewall; longtime companion, Hugh “Doc” Folsom; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Frankie Lynn Lewis and Cynthia Ann McCosar; her parents, Milburn and Bellzora Thomas; one grandson, James Lewis; and one granddaughter, Fawn Renee Edmonds.

Bearers are Max Barnoski, Bobby Pickens, Carl Tyson, Damien Deatherage, Quinton Thomas and Buddy Wesley.

Honorary bearers are Barney Barnoski, John Thomas and Lloyd Kilcrease.
