ADA — Patricia “Jolly” Stanford of Ada passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at her residence in Ada at the age of 74.

She was born Dec. 31, 1938, in Fresno, Calif., to Albert Merrell and Una Fox Merrell. She married Gerald Eugene Stanford. He passed away Jan. 8, 2012.

Mrs. Stanford worked as a registered nurse for many years and had moved to Ada from Tulsa in 1989.

Mrs. Stanford is survived by one son, Randy Cain and wife, Darlene, of Seattle; one daughter, Jerri Johns of Ada; one brother, Don Merrell of Branson, Mo.; one sister, Jeannie Avoledo of Fresno; five grandchildren, Alyson Kirby and husband, Chris, of Ada, Michael Johns and wife, Amanda, of Ada, Matt Cain of Phoenix, Ariz., Morgan Cain of Seattle and Dama Utley of Orange, Mass.; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Stanford, and her parents, Albert and Una Merrell.
