Travis Duane Lambert,

Stratford —  

Services for Travis Duane Lambert,  70, Stratford, are 2 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, at Stratford First Baptist Church, officiated by the Revs. Russell Duck,  Tim Ohls and Keith Stevens. Burial follows at McGee Cemetery, Stratford. 

Mr. Lambert died March 19, 2013, at his home near Stratford. He was born Jan. 2, 1943, in Stratford to Jack and Vivian  Critchfield Lambert.

He graduated from Stratford High School and then served in the United States Air Force. He and his wife made their home in Stratford and lived here most of his life. Mr. Lambert worked for British Petroleum and is a deacon in Stratford First Baptist Church.

He married Caroline Foshee in Gilbert, Ariz., on April 25, 1964.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian, and a brother, Terry.

Survivors include his wife, Caroline Lambert of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Wade and Kristy Lambert, Wilson; a daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Bobby Holland, Ada; four grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Roy Watson, Stratford, and Vicky and Danny Cook, Midwest, City; father, Jack Lambert; a sister-in-law, Sherry Lambert, Tucson, Ariz.

Bearers are Charles McAfee, Merlin Lee, Alvin Russ, Jimmy Ashley, Ed O’Neal, Charles Dial and Jerry Ashley. Honorary bearers are Shannon Tice, Buster Green, Billy Hickman and Patrick Sullivan.
