University of Oklahoma football fans that also follow Ada and Duncan high school basketball can breathe a sigh of relief. They will won't have to choose between college and prep sports this week.
Ada will travel to Duncan for junior varsity and varsity basketball contests tonight to play games originally scheduled for Friday night. But after it was announced that Oklahoma would be playing Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl Friday night, the two schools decided to move their basketball matchups up 24 hours.
"The game with Duncan was mutually agreed to move to Thursday due to the Cotton Bowl game," Ada High boys basketball coach Ron Anderson confirmed. "Changing the date really didn’t bother us because we are not in school anyway."
All start times will remain the same. The JV girls will tip off at 4 p.m. followed by the JV boys at 5 p.m., the varsity girls at 6:30 p.m. and the varsity boys at approximately 8 p.m.
