Latta sports physicals set for July 16-17

LATTA — Latta all sports physicals for athletes entering grades 7-12 are scheduled for July 16-17 at the school.

Female athletes will take physicals on July 16 and male athletes will take physicals on July 17.

Byng announces dates of physicals

BYNG — Byng has set aside two dates for Pirate and Lady Pirate athletes to take physical exams.

On Thursday, July 26 all athletes entering grades 7-12 participating in fall sports (baseball, softball and cross country) will take physicals from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the high school.

On Thursday, August 2, all athletes entering grades 7-12 participating in tennis, track, basketball, golf and cheerleading will take physical exams from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the high school.

Cost is $10 per exam.

Physical/Parent Release forms can be printed from the high school athletics tab at the school web site at www.byngschools.com.

 

Roff athletic physicals take place July 17

ROFF — Roff sports physicals for  athletes entering grades 7-12 will be Tuesday, July 17 at 9 a.m. at the Student Center. 

Cost is $10 per athlete.

Forms are available online at the Roff School website at www.roff.k12.ok.us.

Eccentric Duffer announces schedule

ADA — The Eccentric Duffer announces its 2012 summer schedule.

Weather permitting, the course opens at 8 a.m. and closes near dark.

Couples Scrambles are scheduled Mondays at 6 p.m.; Men’s Scrambles are Tuesdays at 8:30 a.m.; and “Just for Fun” Women’s Scramble are Tuesdays at 6 p.m.

Ada athletes to report for physicals

ADA — Players in all sports at Ada Junior High School and Ada High School are to report at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, at the Ada Cougar Activity Center for free physicals.

Stonewall athletes to report for physicals

Stonewall High School athletic physicals are scheduled for Friday, July 27, 1 p.m. at the high school.

All high school and junior high students who plan to play any sport must complete physicals before participating.

    The preliminary competitions for the 2013 Ada News All-Star Classic 3-point Shoot Out and Slam Dunk contests were literally seconds from coming to an end when Ada High sophomore Cory Kilby rushed to the scorer’s table inside Stonewall’s Murphy-Roberts Gymnasium and asked if it was too late for him to enter the fray.

  • Cougar Composers Cougars coach takes no chances

    At approximately 2:30 p.m. Wednesday the Ada Cougars headed up to the soccer field for practice. At 2:50 they headed back down the hill and to the safety of ‘The Dunham’ the huge indoor practice facility. Lightning had been recorded some 14 miles west and head coach Matt Weber was taking no chances.
