Zebakiah Nemecek sentenced in 2011 death of Kase Harris

Ada —  

District 22 Judge Tommy Landrith sentenced  a former Allen High School student, and a former pharmacy technician to a 20-year sentence for second-degree murder of  20-year-old Kase Harris of Ada in December 2011.

Zebakiah Nemecek, 22,  a former East Central University student from Allen, entered a no contest, blind plea with the state after the original charge of first-degree murder of Harris was reduced to second-degree murder,” according to Pontotoc County Assistant District Attorney, Jim Tillison.

The former  Walmart technician, pled guilty to stealing narcotics at the store’s pharmacy in December 2011 and selling them without a prescription to Harris.

According to a police affidavit, Harris paid Nemecek $100 in exchange for Xanax and Lortab without a prescription. Harris was found dead early the following morning.
