Ada —
Ada City Council agreed Monday to hire a Colorado firm to research and develop a concept for a new multipurpose sports complex.
The council voted 5-0 to hire the Lafayette, Colo.-based company GreenPlay LLC, which specializes in parks and recreational complexes, to do preliminary work on the project. The city will pay GreenPlay $39,725 for the work.
The contract calls for GreenPlay to gather information about the sports complex, including public comments. As part of the information-gathering process, GreenPlay will ask the Boulder, Colo.-based research firm RRC-STR Associates to survey approximately 3,000 people about the project.
GreenPlay will also develop a concept for the complex, draw up an operating budget, study the potential economic impact and present a final plan to the council.
