Ada —
The fight over Nathan Dial’s property continued Tuesday, when the Ada City Council voted to annex his land into the city.
Voting 5-0, the council approved a request to annex four parcels of land along Stonecipher Boulevard — including Dial’s property — into the city limits. All four tracts will be zoned as A-2 agricultural suburban districts.
The vote reversed the Pontotoc County Commission’s decision from early February, when the county approved Dial’s request to rezone 2.45 acres of his property from a suburban to a commercial district.
