Coalgate woman injured in wreck on state Highway 3

Coalgate —

A Coalgate woman was injured in a two-vehicle collision Saturday morning west of Coalgate.

Patricia Moore, 66, was airlifted to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where she was admitted in stable condition with internal arm and trunk injuries. She was in good condition as of Monday afternoon.

The other driver, 51-year-old Lehigh resident Janet Arrington, was not hurt.

Moore and Arrington were both westbound on state Highway 3, and Arrington had stopped to wait for eastbound traffic to pass so she could turn left, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Moore’s 2002 Chevrolet struck Arrington’s 2005 Jeep.

Arrington was wearing a seat belt, but Moore was not, according to the Highway Patrol. Arrington’s Jeep was equipped with an air bag, but it was  not deployed.
