Police discount foul play in remains case

Ada —

Police detectives said Tuesday it doesn’t appear that a woman whose skeletal remains were found recently in a wooded area of Ada met with foul play.

The woman, identified as Tracy Ann Roberts, 41, of Ada had been missing since July. Her body was discovered Oct. 13 near J.A. Richardson Loop, just a few blocks from her home.

“We won’t know anything for sure until we get back the toxicology reports from the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s office,” said Detective Tommy Cosper of APD. “But it doesn’t appear from early reports there was anything irregular involved. There seemed to be nothing to suggest homicide, though.”

Cosper said the police are investigating, but they want to hear from the medical examiner’s office before drawing any conclusions. He said that could take as long as eight weeks.

Roberts had two daughters and graduated from Byng High School. She later graduated from East Central University in 1996.
