Crash claims woman

Stonewall —

A Stonewall woman was killed in a one-vehicle wreck Sunday afternoon in McClain County.

Margie L. Short, 60, died at the scene from massive external and internal injuries.

Short was westbound on State Highway 59 when her 2005 Cadillac went off the road on the right side, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Short drove onto a grassy shoulder and overcorrected, leaving the road on the left.

The car went into a broadslide and rolled twice, ejecting Short.

Short was not wearing a seat belt, but her airbags deployed. The OHP report said Short was sleepy at the time of the wreck.
