Bank president's death ruled suicide

Ada — An investigation into the death of Landmark Bank President Dale Boatwright has been ruled a suicide, sheriff John Christian said today.

“Our preliminary investigation has determined that it was a suicide. Unless the medical examiner’s office gives us information that shows our determination is incorrect, that will be the final ruling,” Christian said.

Boatwright was a longtime Ada resident and served as Landmark Bank president since approximately 2000. He also was on the board of directors at Valley View Regional Hospital.

Funeral arrangments are pending with Criswell Funeral Home.
