Alleged kidnapper arrested

McAlester —

The United States Marshals apprehended an alleged McAlester kidnapper early Thursday morning with the help of McAlester police.

Darryl Emanuel Bickham Jr., 29, of McAlester was charged Tuesday in Pittsburg County District Court in two separate cases with felony counts of kidnapping, domestic abuse,  assault and battery, larceny from a person, robbery by force or fear and second degree burglary.

A warrant was issued for Bickham’s arrest and he was apprehended early Thursday morning, according to Pittsburg County Undersheriff Richard Bedford.

“The crime he is being charged with — kidnapping — met the criteria for the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force to apprehend him,” Bedford said. “The warrant for his arrest was issued out of Pittsburg County.”

Bickham is currently in custody at the Pittsburg County jail in lieu of a $35,000 bond. If convicted, he is facing up to life in prison.
