Ada man injured in collision near Pauls Valley

Pauls Valley —

An Ada man was injured Thursday morning in a two- vehicle collision on state Highway 19, two miles east of Pauls Valley.

William H. Richmond was taken to Pauls Valley General Hospital, where he was admitted in serious condition with a head injury, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The other driver, Jordan C. Williams of Pauls Valley, was not hurt.

Richmond, 55, and Williams, 17, were westbound on SH 19 when Richmond slowed to make a left turn into a private drive, according to the OHP. Williams, who was driving a 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck, struck Richmond’s 1984 Honda motorcycle from behind.

Richmond was wearing a helmet when the accident occurred, and Williams was using a seat belt.
