Ada —
An Ada woman who — along with her husband torched her home for insurance money — entered a plea in district court and will serve time in prison.
Holly Claudine Hamilton, 31, pleaded guilty Wednesday to first-degree arson, endangering human life during arson, false claim for insurance and conspiracy to commit a felony. She was sentenced to seven years on each count — all to run concurrently.
The sentences will be combined with several other previous felony charges against Hamilton including second-degree burglary, racketeering, uttering a forged instrument and obtaining money by bogus check/false pretenses. In all, Hamilton must serve 85 percent of seven years with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections before she is eligible for parole.
