Congress’ actions over the past several years, including the decision to bail out troubled banks, prompted R.J. Harris to seek federal office two years ago.
The Norman man ran against U.S. Rep. Tom Cole in the 2010 Republican primary and captured 23 percent of the vote, according to Harris’ website.
Two years later, Harris is squaring off against Cole again. But this time, Harris is running as an independent candidate in the Nov. 6 general election.
