Brendle, Frye retire from Latta school

Ada —  

Two teachers from Latta Public School, Kathy Morgan Brendle and Maggie Frye, are retiring.

Brendle is retiring after 34 years of service to Latta Public School. She has taught third grade for all of those 34 years.

Brendle’s family has been a big part of the Latta community. Her mother, Marie Morgan,  taught at Latta for 30 years. She has two brothers and a sister-in-law that also taught at Latta. There has been a member of the Morgan family teaching at Latta School for the last 55 years. 

Brendle graduated from Latta and she and her husband, Chuck,  have had two daughters graduate from Latta.

Frye retires after 32 years of service. She taught 26 of those years a Latta School. The first six years, Frye at Centrahoma where she taught special education and kindergarten.

During her tenure at Latta she has taught special education classes, Gifted and Talented, and Title I Intervention Classes. She has also been the coordinator of the after school tutoring program.

She and her husband Ted have a daughter Laura, who attended Latta.
