Ada rain from Isaac won't be much, forecaster says

Ada —

The Ada area might get some much-needed moisture if the remains of Hurricane Isaac cross into Oklahoma.

But any rainfall will probably be limited to the area around the Oklahoma/Arkansas border, said Marc Austin, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Norman.

“That’s not going to be over a really widespread area,” he said Wednesday.

Hurricane Isaac made landfall Tuesday night near New Orleans, bringing furious winds and heavy rain to the city, according to The Associated Press. The storm maintained hurricane strength throughout Wednesday morning, but it weakened to a tropical storm in the afternoon and was expected to continue losing strength.
