Group plans Sulphur pet rally today

Sulphur —

A group of area residents is organizing a rally to draw attention to what they describe as problems at the Sulphur animal pound.

The rally will run from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the Chickasaw National Recreation Area’s Bromide Pavilion, located on 12th Street in Sulphur. People who are interested in participating in a group photo are encouraged to wear red.

Organizers hope to attract at least 300 people for the group photo, which will be taken between 2:30 and 3 p.m. The photo will be used in future ad campaigns to help local animals.
