Valley View seeks lease agreement on hospital

Ada —

The Valley View Regional Hospital board of directors has voted to explore a lease agreement with one of two Oklahoma health care organizations.

Mercy Health of Oklahoma and Integris Health were selected by the board for further study regarding a lease of the hospital. SSM Health (St. Anthony), the third entity initially considered, expressed little interest in a lease and is no longer being considered for partnership, officials said.

“We are embarking on this evaluation of a lease relationship following extensive discussions regarding the future of community health care in Ada and the Ada area,” Valley View board chairman Dean Peterson said. “After studying partnership options that included lease and affiliation models, the board concluded a lease arrangement would best serve the people who rely on Valley View.”
