Ada —
An Ada teen was injured in a one-vehicle crash on north Broadway Tuesday.
The crash occurred in the 1900 block just before 10:30 a.m. Ada police officer Kylor Pool said 18-year-old Amberlyn Dawn Brown was driving a 2001 Ford Taurus south when she ran off the road and into the median.
The car hit a wrong way sign in the median, turned sideways and then traveled back into the southbound lanes of Broadway before coming to a stop. The impact caused the sign to shatter the windshield and crush the roof of the car. Pool spoke with Brown after the crash.
“Ms. Brown was bleeding from her head and stated she was having a hard time seeing,” Pool said.
Brown was removed from the vehicle by EMS and Ada firefighters and taken by Valley View EMS to Valley View Regional Hospital to be treated for her wounds.
