The firm developing Ada’s new multipurpose sports complex wants to know what people want to see at the complex.
As part of its research, the Colorado-based firm GreenPlay conducted a series of focus group meetings last week to gather more information about the proposed complex. GreenPlay presented its findings during a public meeting Thursday at Pontotoc County Technology Center.
The focus groups said they thought Ada should have a variety of sports venues, including game fields, a field house and a competitive indoor swimming pool, said GreenPlay principal Pat O’Toole. But he noted Ada has only $4 million to spend on the project, which includes the cost of buying land and preparing the site.
