Vintage shopping complex to open in Ada

Ada —

A chalkboard at the Hamilton House and Grandpa’s Village shopping complex bears this slogan: “Keep calm, shop vintage.”

It’s an appropriate motto for the complex which features a variety of products to appeal to thrifty customers as well as people seeking upscale furniture.

Hamilton House proprietor Allison Hamilton said her store offers furniture and home decor that evoke a variety of settings, from 20th-century Paris to the American West. One section of Hamilton House featured safari-style decor while another corner held items reminiscent of Paris. Yet another room contained Old West-style furniture.

Hamilton said the Old West room is extremely popular with customers.

“Folks come here and they will stay in this room a long time, just taking everything in,” she said.

Hamilton owns Hamilton House, and her parents, Joy and M.D. Bates of Ada, own the other shops.
