Drug bust Wednesday night in Ada nets five

Ada —  

Members of Ada Police Department’s narcotics unit arrested five people Wednesday night on a variety of charges, including possession and/or distribution of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school.

Acting on a tip that drugs were being sold at 510 E. 10th St., officers served a search warrant at the address and confiscated approximately a quarter-pound of marijuana and more than $3,000 in cash.  Branden H. Carder, who lived at the address, was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
