Ada — A House committee studying corporate tax credits did not learn anything new during its first meeting, but the panel did get an overview of the state’s tax credit system, Rep. Todd Thomsen said Thursday.
“My hope is that at some point, we will be able to look at objective data and information so that we can actually make wise determinations on what we’re doing with tax incentives,” he said.
The Ada Republican is a member of the House Tax Credit and Economic Incentive Oversight Committee, which was formed in July to review corporate tax credits and incentives. The committee met for the first time this week in Oklahoma City and will meet at least three more times before the Legislature convenes in January.
