On Sunday, Jan. 27, the Ada Arts Council is presenting “Portrait of a Lady,” a program of music, art, poetry and storytelling which celebrates ladies of all ages, cultures and talents. The event takes place at Ada Arts and Heritage Center at 3 p.m.
All the original artwork on display at this event is portraits of ladies done by various local lady artists: Pat Gurley, Toni Sollazzo, Storm Strickland, Alexandria Knox, and Katy Seals. Performers for this program represent talent from the Ada area. They are musicians Starla Hibler, Rozzie Purdy, Susanne Woolley, Rudy Lupinski, Mark Hollingsworth, Skye Garcia, Zachary Garcia, Bronson Warren, Steve Filkins, storyteller Vicki Creed, and poet Ken Hada. A sing-along ends the formal program.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Rosemarie Benya, 332-0560.
