Ada —

Thomas Cody Roberts, Ada, and Nicole Marie Merkord, Austin, Texas, were married Nov. 22, 2012, at their home in Weatherford, Texas.

They surprised their family with a small ceremony on Thanksgiving Day. Jake Thompson, Brother-in-law of the bridegroom, served as best man. The bridegroom’s cousin, Jody Roberts, served as ring bearer and his uncle, Richard Hudson, provided music. Bostyn Thompson, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl.

The bride’s nieces, Madison and Mandi Haller, served as junior bridesmaids, and her niece, Alexia Merkord, was a flower girl.

The couple’s loyal labrador retriever, Teal, carried a bouquet of flowers and stole the show.

The wedding was officiated by the bridegroom’s cousin, Jakus Roberts.

The couple will take a honeymoon to Chile in the spring.
