ECU hopes to nab first road win

Ada —

Things didn't look favorable for the East Central University football team heading into last week's home contest against 20th-ranked Ouachita Baptist.

The Tigers were coming off back-to-back losses — a 19-0 home loss to Southern Arkansas and a 49-14 setback to Great American Conference powerhouse Henderson State. The Tigers had rushed for a paltry 54 yards against the Muleriders and didn't fare much better at Henderson State, managing just 74 yards on the ground.

But ECU senior Titus Mobley rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown and the Tigers defense forced four turnovers en route to a convincing 37-27 win over the visiting Tigers. It was arguably the most complete game of the 2012 season for the Tigers.
