Ada — Local Christian rap artist Aaron Ray, from Stratford, will release his debut music video soon.
Ray said his video was filmed at several locations in Stratford, Ada and Shawnee. Sherman Johnson of I AM Nex Films, in conjunction with I AM Records, filmed the video.
The video, entitled ‘Speak Up,’ features the story of a teenage girl who turns to drugs, alcohol and peer pressure in order to find life’s answers and is killed in a car wreck after a party. The video was produced in an attempt to help turn young people away from drugs and alcohol, Ray said.
To bring the video to life, Stratford EMS and police joined forces with Ray by facilitating a car wreck on a rural road, displaying the effects of drinking and driving. Ray said people from Ada, Stratford, Sulphur and Shawnee performed in the video.
Ray said he and I AM Records will announce the date of a release party in the near future. Videos and CDs can be ordered from Jane Wilkerson at 405-213-3005 or 580-759-6448.
