Earl Stewart Jr. and Carol Tolliver Stewart, Fitzhugh, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary March 9, 2012.
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart graduated from Fitzhugh High School, Fitzhugh, and East Central University, Ada. They were married in the First Baptist Church of Fitzhugh March 9, 1962.
They retired as school teachers having served a majority of their career at Roff Public Schools. The Stewarts are members of Fitzhugh Baptist Church where Mr. Stewart serves as a deacon for the church.
The couple’s children include Dana Smith and husband Todd Smith of Corn, and Susan Stewart, Konawa. Their grandchildren are Chandler and Carter Smith.
The Stewarts celebrated with their children and grandchildren on a Caribbean cruise in March and will celebrate at a family dinner this summer.
