Cooleys celebrate 60th anniversary

ADA — Mr. and Mrs. Donald Cooley are renewing their vows at a celebration given by their family at 12 noon Dec. 10, 2011, at The Church of God of Prophecy in Allen. Family and friends are invited to attend.

Donald Ray Cooley and Naomi Juan Jones Cooley were married Dec. 14, 1951. The ceremony was held in Tulsa with the Rev. Fern Roland officiating.

Donald is the son of Ervin and Mary Ann Cooley. He was raised in Tulsa and attended Will Rogers High School. Donald served two years in the army, fighting in the Korean War. He was a minister in the Church of God of Prophecy for 36 years.

Naomi is the daughter of Bert and Jewel Jones. She was raised in the Ada area and graduated at Vanoss High School in 1950. She is a pastor’s wife, mother and grandmother.

The Cooley’s have three children: Darrell and Becky Boyd, Allen, Gary and Cheryl Cooley and Pam Traylor, all of Ada; five grandchildren and eight great-granddaughters.
