Garcia earns NFMC gold cup
Zachary Garcia, 2012 Ada High School graduate, recently received the honor of becoming the only solo artist in Oklahoma to achieve the National Federation of Music Clubs’ sixth Gold Cup — The President’s Cup — for 14 years of consecutive superior ratings in piano performance.

Adan cited at science fair
Three Oklahoma students won prestigious awards last week at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair 2012 in Pittsburgh, Pa. Jenna Reed Huling of Ada, Joseph Christopher Woodson of Tulsa and Elizabeth Grace Curran of Moore competed with nine other students from across the state as “Team Oklahoma.”

Ada High’s scholastic team left town unbeaten on the season with a large school division victory over runners-up Durant and Broken Bow at the Southeastern State University Scholastic meet recently.
